Here is an invitation for you to start 2021 with courage and hope, participating with us in a meeting of activists from many parts of the world, supporters of the Campaign for a Global Curriculum of Social Solidarity Economy, to prepare the first activity of our newborn University of the Buen Vivir (UBV): a speech, with simultaneous translation to English, of the Portuguese scholar Boaventura de Souza Santos in the on line World Social Fórum that will happen in January last week.
The meeting will have as objectives: 1) To present how the collective proposal of a UBV has evolved from June to December 2020, with participation of activists of 10 countries/4 continents, and discuss the strategy of organizing Circles of Dialogue on transformative theories and practices as one of the UVB activities.
2) To present the speech of Boaventura Santos in the WSF as the» inauguration of the UBV» and an opportunity to invite activists around the world to join this global coalition of formal, non-formal and informal initiatives to educate towards the overcoming of the hegemonic neo-liberal economic model.
3- To invite the participants to communicate the event (launching of the UBV with Boaventura’s speech in the WSF ) in their territories.
